I got this gem for only $4.99 at my local Goodwill. I had been looking for something like this for a while, except I wasn’t in love with the shelf or the color. No problem…. with a couple tools and a spray can of paint, I turned it into the exact piece I wanted.

First I removed the shelf and then I took out the mirror and backing so that I wouldn’t get paint on it.

Next, I used wood filler to fill in the screw holes from the shelf.

After it dried, I sanded them down to make a smooth surface. I then applied several layers of Rust-oleum chalked white spray paint, letting each coat dry in between coats.

After the paint had dried, I put it all back together and stood back to admire my work.

I absolutely love it !! Now I just have to figure out where I want to hang it and what I want to hang next to it.
